I have always been a bit of a bad loser especially where football is concerned. as I have got older though, I like to feel I have grown up a bit and mellowed somewhat . So, in a magnanimous gesture and on this one occasion only, I am prepared to put aside petty differences from the past and extend the hand of friendship to our rivals Manchester City. Later today I will be quite prepared to offer my warm congratulations to Manchester City on winning the EPL. I can’t say fairer than that. It goes to show that I can indeed be the bigger man and put aside the bitterness of old rivalries especially as it means for City to win it today we will have beaten those %^&$$(*”£% Manchester United…..

Barring any other late changes to Robbo’s fantasy football team the only injury news is that Phillips is still injured and so Fab will, once more, be in defence (Davies is being saved for important games in the future). The curse of the Liverpool CBs has struck again with Phillips struggling to cope with the rigours of regular game time at this level. I don’t know what the long term solution is to provide sufficient quality of cover at CB with players able to slot in without getting injured themselves but clearly a bit of luck wouldn’t go amiss.
