Liverpool vs Burnley Rovers*
These are the games you dream of when you’re a young boy. The beautiful game as interpreted by Sean Dyche. I just hope that this time the winner is football and that can only mean one thing a clear win for Liverpool.
The sad news that Fabinho has lost his Father this week means that he will not be available for this game and we extend our condolences to him and his family, as many of you have done already in previous articles.
It seems Robbo is close to a return but probably won’t be ready for Saturday, so Tsimikas will probably start. In midfield I think Hendo and Milner will start, in order to provide a bit of backbone, with either Thiago or Keita alongside. Upfront, I think it will be as you were with the standard three, with Jota ready to bolster the attack later. So, the team then: Alisson, TAA, Matip. VVD, Tsimikas, Milner, Hendo, Thiago, Mane, Firmino, Salah.
Having picked my team above, I see that JK has been talking about the importance of rotation to get players up to speed and to cover a long and overly busy season. This suggests he might keep some of the above players on the bench which might give Keita and Jota starting opportunities and maybe Jones if he is fit to play. Personally, I would leave defence alone and only make changes if and when we are in a comfortable winning position which would also be the time to bring on a youngster or two,
