Liverpool vs Manchester City
City will be without Gundog and Zinchenko again for the trip to Anfield. They had a very good and dominant victory against Chelsea last week and by all accounts played well against PSG too despite losing 2-0. They are not scoring the goals their play probably deserves and are still prone to the odd mistake at the back though. Long may that continue. We need to pressurise them take our own chances, score first and force them to play the way that suits us.
With TAA still out I think Milner will deputise again. Firmino played against Porto and it’s great to see him getting back up to speed and even scoring (twice!!). I think, though, that Jota has done nothing wrong and is due a goal or three himself and therefore Firmino will start on the bench. Team: Alisson, Milner, Matip, VVD, Robbo, Fab, Hendo, Jones the baller, Mane Jota, Salah.
