Manu vs Liverpool
I had some doubts about Ronaldo joining United but I have to admit that I might have been wrong (there has to be a first time for everything) There are some early signs now that he is emerging as one of their better……… managers. He is right up there alongside Fernandes and little Ole. Though, to be fair, that is a pretty low bar.
Every time we play United I end up saying the same thing “why does Klopp play it so cautiously” especially when in recent meetings we have often been clearly in much better form than them. Perhaps it isn’t Klopp though, as he always talks about the need to be brave in big matches. Perhaps it is the players being affected by the occasion and the crowd and form is swept aside by these other factors. Whatever the cause, I can’t see this game being any different and it will be another frenetic, nervy, nail biter. It will probably be decided, if indeed it is decided, by a moment of madness, or brilliance, or perhaps, both.
If Curtis is fit to play I think he will start, perhaps with Milner replacing him second half or vice versa and otherwise, assuming no nasty surprises, I think the team picks itself. I did hope that Keita might force himself on the team and become a first choice for the midfield, but, sadly, he is just too lackadaisical sometimes. In future, we should only play him once we are 4-0 up. So, there is a good chance we’ll see him later on in today’s game 😉 Team: Alission, TAA, Matip, VVD, Robbo, Fab, Hendo, Curtis, Mane, Firmino, Salah. I think United have some injury concerns ahead of the game but it doesn’t really matter whoever they choose if we play as well as we can.
