I don’t have much of an article in me just now troops I’m sorry but here’s my post match thoughts.

A much improved, highly motivated, youthful and confident Arsenal team at home, they played with a really high intensity in the first half and we struggled to get to grips with the game but limited them to very little in terms of real chances, while not creating much ourselves.

The thing with this team is, we have so many tools to win a game. You have to question the keeper for Jota’s goal if we’re being honest, but the killer second, it starts from the absolute basic Klopp tactic, first Bobby won the ball back high up the pitch and pulled it back, the shot is parried and Robbo, while second favourite for the ball, refuses to give it up and manages to win it back, drives in on goal and what we saw next is what I now seeing flow through this Liverpool team on a weekly basis – composure. Robbo gets to the byline, head up and picks out Bobby and Firmino has the composure to pick the right finish from a tight angle.

That knocked the wind out of Arsenal, we saw the advantage of a youthful team in the first half with their energy and enthusiasm but saw the worst in the second as their shoulders slumped and we just gave them the runaround for half an hour.

I mentioned on the thread, I suspect if Klopp had his time again, he would have started the game with Milner or Keita and probably Bobby too but the beauty of this squad now is that we can bring genuine game changers off the bench. I can’t ever remember in my time as a Liverpool fan when we’ve had a world class bench and it’s a beautiful thing.

Right that’s all I’ve got this week troops. Walk on
