The 25 Part Deux

Wow… Just beaten Man City in the Semi’s and we are now in the final of the 2^nd local cup of the season v the Mafia’s Oil Guzzlers Anyways That MF of Naby, Fabs and Thiago sure did a great job, didn’t they? We used a few different tactics in the game and the most noticeable was the way the MF did their job, being the creative force on the day but Let’s hear it for our Local Lad Trent who pocketed first Sterling, then Foden and finally the Greasy one and people said Trent can’t defend…

Let’s get down to the Defence then.

And who better to start with than the no 1. Man- Virgil Van Dijk.- The Rolls Royce and leader at the back. The best CB in the world who can do it all. Never lost a PL game at Anfield. Wow. He’s sleek, he’s fast and he’s the Best Centre half.

2. The next best CB in the World also plays for us. The dribbler, The giraffe. It’s Joel Matip.  While it took Virg time to get back to his best Matip brought his A game and has had his best season as a Red not that he has bad games. What a free transfer.

3. Ibou Konate on the back of a hat trick of headers. Has scored More than Mo in April. 22 games played- 18 won and 4 drawn what a stat for The New Guy.

4. Joe Dave Gomez. Not able to get in because of the imperious form of Virg and Matip and then Ibou comes and steals his thunder. Unlucky, unlike the other 2 guy his recuperation was hampered with niggles. Now no 4 but would be no 1 in many PL teams. Has clearly worked hard the last 3-4 months and has put in solid performances at RB

5. Talking about RB- The Best RB in the world our TAA. Has the most number of assists combined in the last 4 seasons and No it ain’t KDB. Local Lad, at 23 has at least another 10 years ahead of him. Will end up being regarded as an absolute great.

6. Next the Best LB in the world- Andy Robbo. Has had another solid season but the start wasn’t so good but a certain new boy has pushed him long and hard and he doesn’t want to give up that LB position. Great Leader too.

7.  Tsimi, Tsimi,Tsimi our Kostas Tsimikas. Passport says he’s Greek but we all know he’s Scouse. What another awesome buy. What heart, grit and mentality. He looks a real character too, he seems to be a character in the dressing room and his Bromance with many lads is very visible. He would be no 1 LB in so many teams. Let’s just find the Tsimi version on the right now.

8. Would be unfair to leave out the Goalkeepers so let’s start with Adrian. Another senior figure taking young players under his wing and doing a great job. Another leader

9. Kewie Kel. What a player he’s turning out to be. Given the opportunity in the CC and collecting that medal. He’s good with his feet , distribution, good shot stopper and over all play is very good.

10. Let’s finish with The Best Goal keeper in the world. Ali Becker. That headed goal has to mean something in a season that we suffered the highlight for me was that goal and getting us into the CL positions. Has every attribute that a GK can have and many more including a few brain farts but that’s how modern GKs play. Risky game but what a buy. 1 of our best.

There you go …another 10 good reasons as to why we are the Best Squad in the world.
