Is the Quadruple still ON? FFS, yes it still is. Mathematically anything and everything is possible.
There’s no time to sulk here. Buck up and cheer your team on. It ain’t the end of the word.
Only a few days ago this almighty MC team were heading to the Final of the CL in the 89th minute winning away 0-1.
Come 90th It’s 1-1 and 91st it’s 2-1 and in the space of another 2 minutes it’s 3-1 and game over.
Anyway, what did we do wrong yesterday? Absolutely nothing. Wave after, wave, after wave of attacks and they break and get 1. Our Luiz Diaz makes it 1-1 and we kept on trying until the end.
If there’s 1 thing for me personally to criticize about it was the fact that Divock Origi wasn’t released.
I said the game calls for Div in the 85th and there’ll be 5 extra minutes. Why Klopp opted for Naby I have no idea, but it’s what it is and I am not at all critical of Naby nor any other Player. They gave it their all. Everyone worked their socks off. Everyone.
Tottenham playing Conte’s Italian style football with a back 5 where 4 players were always so close to each other made it impossible for us. Well done Spurs, you got the point , after all they are fighting for a CL position and were ready for the fight. Fair Play.
Anyway, we need to win the next 3 PL games to put pressure on City. And make no mistake City who are dejected have 4 to play , they will be tired after midweek, down at the way they lost. It will affect them. NC have been in very good form we barely beat them 1-0 last week too. They will sense they have the opportunity to do a number on City and I believe , they will be full of energy and put City under pressure.
A win or even a draw for NC and the title race tightens once again.
OK, we needed City to draw before yesterday but now we ween City to lose. It’s all still a possibility.
COYR.
Let’s still keep believing.
I’ve held this stat back for a time like this…here it is…let’s keep em fingers crossed.
In 1981, Liverpool beat Wolves on the last day to win the league. A week later, they went to Paris and beat Real Madrid in the European Cup Final.
In 2022, Liverpool is playing Wolves on the last day in the league and will meet Real Madrid in Champions League final at Paris.
