I have been thinking about this lately and thought it might fill a bit of time.

What does the World cup mean for Liverpool’s season.

Quite a unique season ahead of  our reds and the rest of footballs top divisions in probably the most controversial World Cup in History.

I thought it might be worth a look at how it might affect our season as it looks like quite a few of the lads might be putting their feet up for a well deserved break. Since Mo signed his new contract my thoughts kind of turned to the world cup and how for the first time in a long while he would get a chance to finally get a decent long rest and started thinking this could turn out to be his best season yet where he is consistently brilliant for the whole season.

A list of what the world cup means for Liverpool players .

1 Allisson . Competing with the hulk to be Brazils no 1

2 Virgil .Will be part of Hollands first major tournament in around a decade.

3 Konate . Has just broken into the French squad but probably wont start many games.

4 Matip. Retired from international football

5 Gomez Will probably make the Engurlund squad but wont play much.

6 Robbo Another player who will be getting sustained rest

7 The Greek scouser. Watching with his feet up

8 Trent Doesn’t suit a conservative managers style so will probably only be a bit part player.

9 Fabinho .Most probably will be Brazils no 6

10 Thiago Doesn’t seem to be in Spain’s strongest team so will probably wont see a huge amount of time.

11 Hendo Will probably anchor Gareth’s boys

12 Keita Guinea didn’t qualify

13 Ox Wont be part

14 Milly Old man has long since retired

15 Curtis/ Harvey Highly doubtful either will make it

16 Diaz google says Colombia didnt make it

17 Jota will hopefully bang in a few for Portugal

18 Darwin Hopefully will light up the tournament as the next big thing, Haaland who?

19 Bobby . If Richarlison starts ahead of Bobby then i give Brazil no hope.

20 Salah. Last but not least Mo who unfortunately did not make it with Egypt. Hopefully as I said above this will give him a even more fire in the belly to fire the reds to further glory.

Looking at the list in detail like there is only a minority of the squad that will see much game time if any at all which can only be a good thing for us. It could give us an advantage in the title race. Looking at City’s squad it looks like far more of them will be in action.

The only question left is who is going to be the official 4kk team of the tournament . I stand with our with our other Celtic Brethren . My moneys on the Taffys. After that I’m supporting Senegal , Uruguay but I wouldn’t say no to the Oranje, Virgil crowning his career and for more Gini smiles obviously .
