Liverpool v Rangers

One interesting stat to raise the spirits and the confidence of the side is that in head to heads against Rangers, we have never, ever, no, not once, in the whole history of the game, lost to Rangers, at home. In fact, we have never lost, or even drawn with them, home, or away. In fact, we have never played them before…. That is a record we can surely build on

I must admit, when I came to look at this match, I didn’t know who Rangers were managed by and could only vaguely remember one player’s name, Morelos, though when I looked at the list of players a few more names like Ryan Kent and Ben Davies did ring a bell. A good few years ago, I could name quite a few Rangers and Celtic players and I am not sure if that is just me, or a sign of the distance that has grown up between English and Scottish football. Maybe, with the resurgence of Rangers and the renewed competition between the two sides, this will change, especially if they can both qualify for the CL in future. Perhaps, all they really need to take off is a bit more exposure…… and a group of American business men or an Arab state to take them over….It’s all any club really needs….

Anyway, a good win is what’s needed tonight as we head for a run of challenging games over the next couple of weeks. COYR.
