Lask v Liverpool.

We see ourselves competing in the Europa League for the first time in a number of years. It’s not the competition we’d prefer to be in but hey, let’s get on with it. It’s the only competition we’ve played in that we haven’t won under Klopp’s tenure. You’ve got to be in it to win it.

This early evening we match up against Lask in Austria. Formed in 1899, with a capacity of 19,080. Currently they sit 3rd in their league after 7 games with only one defeat.

They’ve only won the league once, back in 64/65. We shouldn’t take this team lightly, they’ve qualified for Europe so they can’t be that bad. There is no time for complacency. Whilst I believe some of the youngsters and fringe players will get a game I also expect a few established players in the team too.

We last won it during that barmy 6 month period in 2001. Will Klopp and the lads give this competition due respect? I think they will.
