Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool.
Article by Romper.
The red juggernaut also known as Liverpool FC makes its way down south to face probably it’s toughest test of the season. Tottenham Hotspur, or more affectionately known as Spuds, are currently in a little purple patch and unfortunately playing some nice football under their new Australian superstar manager Ange Postecoglou. Whether you rate Ange or not you have to give him credit because if he can make Richarlison look half decent he must be a bloody wizard. Not only has Richarlison taken to Spuds new style of play which is now known as “Ange Ball”, but the entire squad have embraced the new style and manager making them 1 of only 4 clubs in the EPL to still be unbeaten. The mighty Reds are also unbeaten in the EPL this season, besides both clubs being unbeaten they have been able to net 15 goals each from the opening 6 fixtures. However, LFC do have a slightly better defensive record (yeah that sounded weird as I typed it considering how many goals we have conceded first) with Spuds leaking 2 more goals over the 6 matches.
In Klopp’s press conference he stated that Trent was back in training on Thursday and Friday and they would have to wait and see how he pulls up before deciding his place in the squad, although Klopp felt confident he would at least make the matchday squad. Young Stefan Bajcetic is still battling a niggle and like Trent will have to wait see how he fairs by the end of training before Klopp makes his decision. The likes of Thiago and Conor are still out with no known return dates.
Quite a few of our 2nd string players and academy players got to make appearance in our mid-week win against Leicester, although a little help was needed from one or two of our 1st team players. With that in mind, OMG Dominik Szoboszlai what a find he has become, not only is he strong and makes his presence felt on the ball we finally have a player that is willing to shoot from 30 yards out. He doesn’t just shoot from 30 yards he scores with that lethal right foot of his.
With a relatively healthy and inform squad Klopp is going to have his work cut out choosing a starting XI, but I’m confident to say Szob is one of the 1st names on that paper. After my diabolical attempt last week at guessing the starting line-up, this week I will leave that up to you lads.
Keep on marching on Red Army
