Christmas is a special time of year, for those that celebrate it anyway.
It’s a time when people come together. Families meet up from the 4 Korners of the planet get ratted and then pledge to never see each other again……until next Christmas. Just my lil joke 🤭.
Christmas should be a time of joy, happiness and shit loads of 🍻. Just another day in next doors 🐈’s 🏠.
Children wake early on Christmas morning and excitedly venture downstairs to open their presents from under the 🌲. Parents, tired from wrapping presents all night coz they forgot to wrap them earlier stir from alcohol induced slumber to shout “Shut the fook up!” Turn over and have another couple of hours kip.
When they eventually find their way to the living room the tree is on the floor, barbles shattered, the 🐈 is chasing the 🐕 around the flickering Christmas 🌲 lights as the children play. Fooknose how Conor and Jerry got in, but hey….it’s Christmas.
Today Stu opened the 4KK pub early to check ✔️ all was in place for tonight’s ( probably day ) music themed get together. Snacks and other strange stuff will be given away ( out of date snacks and other strange stuff, obviously ) but the beer will be flowing. We have a special offer on tonight. Buy one 🍺 n get 3 snacks for free ( they’re free anyway but don’t tell everyone ).
We anticipate and expect lots and lots of Christmas songs today, which means post wtf you like….as usual.
Music can be a calming influence, it can be retrospective as one can reminisce times gone by from a time a particular song takes you back to.
As the world continues to go mad for one reason or another we still have each other. Friends formed from a social media site that has grown into a place we all call home. The success of this site is your success. The people you are, are the site.
We have ( well Stu has coz he likes doing things ) cleared a few tables and added a sandpit with lots of toys in for Conor and Jerry to play in. They’ll appreciate that.
