Fulham v Liverpool

That old buzz is back, as the new season kicks off. The same old expectations and the same old (injury) worries. Konate’s injury is a real concern, with messages from team mates about coming back stronger and even Klopp admitting he will be out for a while and deciding to hold on to Nat.

There’s not much that’s interesting to say about Fulham, other than they do try to play football and to note that we sold them Wilson (injured) and got Carvalho. They have a famous supporter in Richard Osman who I do like, even if he is completely deluded when it comes to football. He once claimed that the Fulham fans were barracking Suarez and put him of his game. Oh yes. I can just imagine that the Uruguayan, who eats defenders for breakfast (literally) and has played in front of the fiercest fans in the World, was reduced to a trembling wreck because of the long words being shouted at him, by some Richard and his posh friends. “Preposterous pass, calamitous cross, tewwible tackle my good man….and the like”

Don’t mention the World cup! It makes him grumpy for the rest of the day.😁

The game is 12.30 BST and is on BT Sport. Team: Alisson, TAA, Matip., VVD, Fab, Hendo., Thiago, Diaz. Nunez, Salah
