Liverpool v Atletico Madrid
Another hard game before what could be an almost equally hard game at the weekend against West Ham, but that is for another day. Our hands will be full enough tonight with a very tough and skilful Atletico side. A draw would probably be enough to seal our place in the next round but we all know Klopp will go out to win it. Let’s hope the team delivers.
Atletico will have Griezmann missing after his red card in the previous game, which is a relief as he ran us ragged at times. This might mean Suarez gets another and possibly final chance to play at Anfield. For us, Thiago and Fab are both back in training and I think Klopp may start the game with Fab, who has been sorely missed. I think Thiago may start on the bench and Matip may well return to the side in place of Konate. On a general point about injuries, I hope Fab is not being rushed back too soon and whether that might even have been the case with Keita. Team: Alisson, TAA, Matip VVD, Robbo, Fab, Hendo, Jones, Mane, Firmino, Salah.
I think I can safely say that we are all agreed, on here, that Klopp just needs to sort out his formation and game management and everything will be fine and If he needs any advice he knows where to come 😉
