Liverpool v Everton
A very fitting match to start back with after the international break and one that sees Everton on the up. Last time out they had a famous victory over the mighty…… err Bournemouth. Immediately after their lap of honour their groundstaff had dug out the old trophy cabinet (pictured above) and there are now plans to restore it to its former glory.
On to the game now and the team. It’s always difficult to pick the starting 11 after an international break especially an early kick off game as it all depends o the condition of the returning players. What we do know is that Robertson, Jones, Bajcetic, and Thiago won’t be available and possibly also Gakpo. I think the starting 11 might well be something like Alisson, TAA, Konate, VVD Tsimikas, MacAllister, Szoboszlai, Elliott, Jota, Nunez, Salah. with Endo, Graverberch, Jota, Matip and possibly Gakpo as subs to be used or to start and then be replaced.
