Liverpool v Sevilla (12.30) & Las Palmas (17.00)

Apparently, we have two games on Sunday, presumably in preparation for the League when we have to play both Brighton and Hove Albion on the same day. I am going to focus though on the Sevilla game.

This will be an interesting clash, albeit a friendly. Sevilla are a good footballing side, but then so are we. I will be looking in at 12.30 tomorrow to see if I can spot the signs of Slot’s new style. I must admit I couldn’t see much evidence of it from the last game. There was one move that did lead to a goal where the ball was worked through the midfield. Otherwise, I saw a few rather aimless long balls and the ball being lost in midfield more often than it should. Still, it’s early days and we will have more of the “A” team back for this game. One good thing though Kelleher wasn’t just kicking the ball long as he had a tendency to do before.
