Liverpool v Sparta Prague

This game could be Sparta’s Barcelona moment when they turn around not just a 3 goal deficit but a four goal deficit 😁. Even though such a turnaround is extremely unlikely, I am sure Jurgen will make sure that the team he puts out is fully capable of seeing Liverpool through to the next stage. I must admit I was surprised that we won so easily over there and really can’t see anything other than a comfortable home win tonight.

The team is difficult to pick with the big cup game against United coming up at the weekend. I think there will be a fair smattering of youngsters in the starting 11 but with a few more seasoned pros on the bench ready to steady the ship if it starts to roll a bit which it won’t (trust me I’m an optimist). Team: Kelleher, Gomez, Quansah, VVD, Tsimikas, McAllister, Elliott, Clark, Gakpo, Koumas, Salah Shame we won’t see Danns again as I understand he is not yet fully recovered from concussion.
