Liverpool v the Arse (nal)
Tonight we face off against a team that is steeped in history, not as illustrious as our history, obviously. Never the less our team ( working class ) and their team ( salon lovers ) have played together, with the occasional head butt ( Tommy Smith, no doubt) over a period of time when FarmboyMike was a lad. Greg was in his teens back in 1893.
Yep, 1893 is the first recorded game we played against the Arse in division 2. We actually twatted them 5 nil away. Nothing much has changed since.
The first time they beat us was way back in 1905 in Division one.
This fixture is actually steeped in history, over a millennium.
During the early 1900’s we were evenly matched. Plenty of wins for both teams and the occasional draw too.
The 1920’s? Well another mixed bag, both teams fighting it out ( pre salon days, obviously ). Two teams that have been rivals long before Shitty were even a burp in anyone’s throats.
Swiftly moving forward.
The Goons have won 81 times against the Mighty Reds, shocking I know but we’ve put them to the sword 92 times with 61 draws.

On a serious note, I believe we have the weapons to deliver tonight. Gordon should start again. As I alluded to on Wednesday he will be managed game time wise. Tyler Morton? What can one say about that young fella? He’s going to be a world beater and I’m not even being over confident on that one.
The uplifting thing about our team, from the youth to the first team is we have so much talent that is progressing at a pace that is good for them.
Careers are made or broken by decisions, be it from the Management team or their own decisions. All we can do is nurture talent and hope these brilliant players plug into what is best for them.
