Liverpool vs AC Milan

I am sure everyone is looking forward to tonight’s game and the start of a European campaign with fans in the stadiums and a return to something close to normality.

I was surprised to discover that until tonight Liverpool had only met AC Milan twice before and both times in a CL final. Some of you might remember the first meeting in 2005 which is recorded as a 3-3 draw though I very much doubt whether either set of players or fans will think of it as a draw 😉

The second CL final was just 2 years later in 2007 but the team had changed a lot and on that occasion Milan ran out 2-1 winners. That means we have one loss and one draw so we are now due a win 😉

I am hoping that Klopp will aim to qualify from the group as quickly as possible if for no other reason than to save my blood pressure. On that basis I am expecting him to go with the strongest line-up available to him which I think will be as follows: Alisson, TAA, Matip, VVD, Robbo, Fab, Hendo, Thiago, Mane, Jota, Salah.

Sorry about the picture but you are not allowed to run a news story, create an article or publish anything these days on any subject without mentioning this young lady (18) and estimating how rich she will become. My guess is £500BN. Not bad for being quite good at outdoor wiff waff.
