Liverpool vs Real Madrid

Well it is about time Liverpool finally got Real this season in every sense of the word. It may well have been a shitstorm so far but there is still an opportunity to turn things around and add further to the legend that is Liverpool football club.

So what is it to be? The Liverpool from the first leg that lost with a whimper? The Liverpool that fought bravely but were ultimately unsuccessful against Atletico? Or indeed the Liverpool that turned around a 3-0 deficit against Messi and Barcelona to make all our hearts soar? Well we will find out soon enough. We know it’s tough, we know it’s unlikely, but we also know it’s Liverpool.

Prior to the Barcelona comeback a famous, some would say infamous, but devilishly handsome poster wrote the following on another lesser footballing site 😉

“Barcelona are there for the taking on Tuesday. Apparently they were so exhausted they all had to be rested for yesterday’s game. I am not sure they can recover sufficiently in time for Tuesday. I fear for them. It could get embarrassing…….”

How true that prediction turned out to be against all odds. I am not saying it’s exactly the same situation with Real Madrid but I have noticed that an increasing number of their players are feigning injury. Some are even using covid as cover to avoid being part of another historic epic footballing embarrassment. It might not be Barcelona all over again, but I am just saying the signs are there if you know what to look for…..

As stated above, Real have several players out apparently injured including of course Ramos (boo). As far as I am aware we don’t have any further injury worries. So my team is: Alisson, TAA, Phillips, Robbo, Kayak, Fab, Gini, Thiago, Mane, Firmino, Salah with Origami on the bench and ready to strike…
