West Bromwich Albion vs Liverpool
Last time we played WBA I made a bold prediction that they could look forward to a resurgence and said ” WBA fans will be thrilled by the thought of a New Year heralding an exciting new chapter of free flowing football under a dynamic and innovative new coach. Yes. fat horizontally challenged Sam”. Sadly, that prediction went the same way as all my football predictions and I just hope the one I made before the United game, that we were unlikely to get a top 4 spot, does the same. The only way we can be sure of that is to win all of our last three games starting today with a tea time kick-off against WBA
It is a fiendishly complicated situation in the race for a top 4 spot and I am sure there will be some twists and turns yet to come. It is quite likely it will all come down to the final day and ultimately it could even be decided on goal difference. One funny scenario pointed out by Rob yesterday is that Chelsea could well end up winning no trophies this year and lose out on a top 4 spot and all because of “lucky” goals scored against them. Well that is according to Tuchel who described the Tielemans scorcher yesterday and a goal worthy of winning any game let alone an FA Cup Final, as lucky.
Another comment from the previous game against WBA shows that tantrums are nothing new to klopp and certainly not confined to Mane. This is what I wrote: ” Klopp has given “sulky” Salah a virtual hug by explaining he made a mistake in making “tantrum” Trent Captain instead of him for the last game and confessing that on merit it should have gone to, wait for it, ………..”outraged” Origi (yes he who this week cleared his Instagram account in a strop)” Children, children, children go outside and play…
Team: Alisson, TAA, Williams, Phillips, Robbo, Fab, Gini, Thiago, Jota, Firmino, Salah. Or will he pick Moany? Anyway, got through that without mentioning boilers. What picture?
