While reading the Bad section of Jockster’s article today and after re-watching the game something dawned on me.

For me the Bad was the unavailability of Joe Gomez. AGAIN.

These are the games that he needs to play in order to show every Liverpool fan why he is or should be No 2 to VVD but it’s so unfortunate and so sad that he just can not seem to stay fit.

I , not so long ago wrote an article Joe Gomez or Nat Phillips?

For me an available Nat Phillips is worth much more that a player who’s gonna be out for months year of year. So, in fact I am happy that he’s gone only on loan and that we didn’t actually sell him.

I am also looking at Rhys Williams. Yes he did great along with Nat to get us to 3rd place but does he have the tools to be a Liverpool player?

My money is on SEPP VDB.

He’s big, he’s strong, he’s tall, he’s added speed to his game. Playing as a RB,LB or as a wing back last season but moving centrally has helped in loads and he’s come a long, long way. I say let’s bring him back into the fold in the summer.

I am sorry to say this but we need to really think hard about Joe, as with Matip, Naby, Ox and Thiago. I have said this many times.

Though , saying it…Matip has been out of this world this season, even VVD is second to him. He’s being properly managed. Naby and Ox have also had a very good season injury wise. Have scored goals and have stood up when needed.

Thiago again, class player but Don’t want to sound like a moaner but for 200k a week we aren’t getting enough of him.

I would have gladly swapped any of those 3 given Gini a pay rise from his 70 k where he would have actually got paid 170-200k a week just for his availability.

All 3 of those MF can be awesome but when the going gets tough and in those particular days we miss Gini’s skills.

Anyway, my article is about a different Dutch player.

I would like him in the fold in the summer. Bring back this forgotten dude and give him a chance.

What say you lot?
