SOOOOOOOO…… Here we are….. Still in with a chance to do the impossible, the one thing that no one has ever managed to do , well at least that’s the case with an English club…..People have tried and failed at the 4 but it is never a failure if you don’t win all 4. It’s an achievement even to win 1 trophy a year.

So….. Let’s start with this then….

  1. The PL- We are currently on a 9 game winning streak.

Who remembers are longest winning run in recent history? We put together an 18 game winning run a few seasons back. How many games remaining? 9. If we can equal that number we will be the champions because we would have beaten MC on the way to it and even if they muster 8/9 wins they’ll finish 2nd best.

Achievable? Why not. Let’s start with Watford. I am happy we don’t play MC just after the international break the Watford  and Benfica games will help us immensely as we’ll need match practice. Rotation both with players starting and substitutions is imperative. 9 finals.

We also have United, Everton and a resurgent Spurs to counter also Wolves, AV. Tough as tough can be but we can do it.

  • Talking about Benfica, they are our next opponent in the CL. By far the best out of the 7 to get. What we need is to go away and blitz them there to scare the shite out of City and then to be able to to play the 2nd leg at home in 2nd gear. Use all 5 subs too in both games to keep everyone fresh. Go through them and probably be Bayern but who knows VR might cause an upset. If we are to draw any games then CL will be the one place we can afford to or even lose but the aggregate is what matters here, just like when we played Inter Milan.
  • The FA cup. Man City again.

We have the firepower to take them apart in both games we play a week apart. These 2 games will be very difficult. They will not want to submit to us as they believe they are the best but Pep has a tendency to crack under pressure and overthink certain games and doesn’t always get his strategy right . Let’s pounce on it.

Bring it on…..In 16 games time we’ll know where we stand.
