Liverpool FC brings people together from all walks of life and from all quarters of the World.

We have something in common and that is the Love for Liverpool FC, our club, our team.

I’m not going to discuss covid and it’s debilitating influence on recent activity because that’s a short impedance on the life of our club, harsh it still is.

From the beginning of my life I wore Red. My mother bought me a footy kit when I was a very young child.

Now, my Mother had no interest in footy what so ever, but she knew I did. My Grandad had a massive influence on that, but that’s for another day.

I grew up in a home with no father. Did I miss a father? No, for the reason I didn’t comprehend my young life any different. To me life was normal.

I remember being in infant school and we had a discussion about mums and dads. As a 5 year old I didn’t know what that meant. And yes, I can still remember that conversation 51 years ago when I was 5 years old. I seriously as a 5 year old didn’t know what a Dad was.

I stopped typing for few moments while I take stock.

Things in life, even from such a young age impacts the rest of one’s life. My life wasn’t bad as a child, though I was bullied for one reason or another. Such is life.

My one salvation was a Saturday afternoon stood on the Kop, centre right behind the goal, right in the mix of the singing and chanting. I’ve mentioned before, don’t have that bollard at your stomach, have it behind you.

Anyway, I talk to much, I always have done, well that’s not actually correct. I’ve thought a lot but at times could not out my thoughts into the words I so much wanted to say because I had, still have a speech impediment, though you wouldn’t believe it now because I’ve got it 95% under control. I’ll never be 100% there. I accept that.

I’m doing good though. Jock has talked on the phone to me n I’m sure he thinks I talk fine, even in Scouse. It’s a confidence thing.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this to be honest. I’m just typing a wee bit of me to you.

We all love our club and became attached through different circumstances. I’d be interested to hear what brought you to support the greatest club the World has ever known.

I’m not going to big this site up because it’s not about that, its about you, the people that have become my very dear friends.

Post your story on how Liverpool FC entered your heart.

We are LIVERPOOL,
We are One,
N fook the rest.
